Headless ecommerce when it truly adds value

A decoupled store for an ultra-fast frontend while keeping the transactional backend you already know. When headless makes sense - and when, frankly, it doesn't.

What it is for

The problem we solve.

A headless ecommerce decouples the presentation layer from the transactional backend. That lets you build an ultra-fast frontend in Next.js, Astro or Hydrogen while keeping Shopify, Commercetools or Magento as your catalogue and order engine.

The typical result: top-tier Core Web Vitals, CR+ and total freedom for marketing and design. The cost: technical complexity that has to be managed properly.

What is included

  • Migration from monolithic store to headless architecture
  • Frontend in Next.js / Hydrogen / Astro with ISR and CDN
  • Integration with Shopify, Commercetools, Magento or BigCommerce
  • PIM, OMS and search engine (Algolia, Meilisearch)
  • Performance budget and monitored Core Web Vitals
  • Rollout plan with no SEO or sales drop
How we do it

Our process for Headless Ecommerce.

01

Diagnosis

We assess whether headless makes sense for your case. Sometimes it doesn't, and we say so.

02

Architecture

We decide backend, frontend, search engine and supporting services.

03

Build and migration

We build the new frontend in parallel with the current store and migrate in phases.

04

Rollout and SEO

Redirect plan, ranking monitoring and rollback-ready from day one.

When we don't recommend headless

If your marketing team depends on the CMS visual editor, if your volume doesn't justify the complexity or if you have no technical resources to maintain the frontend, headless is a poor fit. A well-optimised Shopify can deliver very similar results at a fraction of the cost.

Headless shines when you need real omnichannel, when performance is critical for SEO, or when your product demands an experience a standard theme cannot deliver.
