Product analytics focused on activation, retention and churn
Product analytics works on in-product behaviour, not traffic. Mixpanel, Amplitude or PostHog to understand what makes a user activate, stay or leave.
The problem we solve.
Google Analytics answers marketing questions: where traffic comes from, which campaigns work, how many conversions there are. Product analytics answers different questions: which onboarding steps are bottlenecks, which features predict retention, or why a user segment churns in week six.
We implement and operate product analytics with the tools that best fit your model (subscription, freemium, marketplace) and connect the learnings to the product decision cycle.

Our process for Product analytics.
Plan
We define which product questions the tool must answer before implementing anything.
Tracking
Clean event model, instrumentation, QA and property documentation to avoid analytics debt.
Activation
Actionable dashboards, product team training and rituals so data gets used, not just viewed.
Difference from traditional web analytics
Web analytics measures traffic sessions. Product analytics measures user identities over time, usually logged in. That enables questions like "how many users who arrived in March are still active in September?" - impossible to answer with a marketing tool.
